Your Business Improvement District
Kendal Business Improvement District came alive in April 2014, a business-led initiative its purpose is to develop projects and services that will benefit Kendal town centre and ensure it remains competitive and healthy in extremely challenging economic conditions.
As a limited not for profit business, Kendal BID will invest up to £1,000,000 over a five year period, enabling a comprehensive marketing campaign, improvements to the appearance of the town centre, new car parking initiatives, group business initiatives and creating a strong business voice for the town.
This website can help you find out more about what a BID means for Kendal and your business, and the plans and projects which the BID Board will develop over the coming months and years.

Join Kendal BID
Membership of Kendal BID is open to all Kendal BID levy payers at no extra cost. Membership means you will receive regular information on BID activities and town centre issues. Membership will also entitle you to vote on all BID Company issues at Annual and General Meetings. To become a member please complete this Membership Form.
On Wednesday 26 February 2014, the new Kendal BID Board of Directors was appointed following a vote by Kendal BID Members. The successful candidates appointed to the 11 available seats can be found here.
This group is responsible for delivering the BID Business Plan on behalf of the town. The BID Proposal and Business Plan can be viewed here.

Kendal BID appreciates that some activities need support, be it for capital or revenue services or projects. We strive to ensure that all our levy payer’s money adds value to the town and helps create a vibrant economy. Therefore, we have created a stringent funding mechanism. If you would like Kendal BID’s support, please fill in the attached application form and follow the instructions. It is important that you are concise with your answers as some are weighted and scored by the Board.
