The Kendal BID team
The Kendal BID team is made up of unpaid volunteer directors who want to do something good for the town alongside a part time BID manager who is employed to deliver the BID services set out by the board. All the BID directors come from local businesses in our town and come from a diverse range of sectors including, retail, hospitality, professional services and healthcare.
Josh represents health and personal care. He owns Westmorland Homecare and also runs pubs through his hospitality business including Ye Olde Fleece Inn, Duke of Cumberland and The Gateway Inn.
Lee is a solicitor and partner at Arnold Greenwood. He brings a wealth of legal experience and will be taking over from Richard Moore with legal advice for the Board
Jan represents tourism, hospitality and evening economy. Jan founded Kendal Hostel and is an expert in travel and tourism. She is a blue badge guide and tour guide currently running experience lakeland.
Tina represents tourism, hospitality and the evening economy. She owns and runs 19 the Wine Bar on Lowther street as well as a successful management training and consultancy business.
Brent represents food and drinks. Brent founded Relish No 37 (now on Branthwaite Brow) in 2008 with business partner Karen and brings a wealth of business experience to the BID team.
Denise represents professional services. She owns Ruby Tuesdays hair salon and is a senior lecturer at Kendal College. Denise brings valuable governance and board expertise to the BID team.
Kim represents small businesses. She is the owner of the Bristly Hog in Stricklandgate. The Bristly Hog is a successful café, bistro set over two floors.
Karl is the owner of Pedro's Casa and brings a lot of business experience with him.
